Michelle Moriarty is a passionate advocate for navigating grief and embracing resilience, bringing warmth, wisdom, and authenticity to every stage she graces. Her journey into grief education and support stems from personal experience, widowed at age 38 and the death of her father 4 years later, making her approach deeply relatable and empathetic. Michelle understands the weight of sorrow and the courage required to move forward, and she empowers individuals, families, and communities to process their grief in meaningful ways.

With a strong background in Social Work and Counselling, Michelle combines practical strategies with heartfelt storytelling, ensuring that her message resonates with people from all walks of life. Having grown up in a rural area, Michelle understands the challenges of country life firsthand. She also runs a small beef farm with her fiancé in the South West while actively championing mental well-being within rural communities.
Recognised for her genuine approach and powerful delivery, Michelle Moriarty is the 2023 winner of the 'AgriFutures WA Rural Women's Award' and the 2024 'Innovate with nbn®' Overall Category Champion & Women in Regional Business Awards. Michelle has also successfully earned a scholarship for Australian Rural Leaderful Program Course 32, further expanding her leadership and advocacy in rural communities.

Michelle has served as MC for the 2024 AgriFutures WA State Award Announcement and has spoken at the WA Country Health Conference, the Community Resource Centre Conference, and numerous other training and speaking events, including her own Grief Language Project® seminars.
